Original Toronto Star caption: Observing water appreciation week; This week's been declared Water Appreciation Week in Chinguacousy Township-but young people have been appreciating water all summer; especially in an abandoned quarry near Brampton. Fifteen-year-old Bob Burt of Brampton takes a 20-foot drive into the clear blue; spring-fed water. Teenagers prefer the quarry; which is near Highway 7 and the second line east; to swimming pools because the water is colder; it is less crowded and it has a natural rock diving board.
