Original Toronto Star caption: Radioactive fill; 12;000 cubic yards of it; is being hauled away from Ivan Lewis' property in Port Hope as a bulldozer replaces it with clean earth. Lewis' backyard was filled with earth from a dump used by Eldorado Nuclear Ltd.; the same fill used on the site of St. Mary's Separate School; which was closed last week. Health Minister Frank Miller says readings inside the school of randon gas were as much as 12 times the accepted safe level.
