Original Toronto Star caption: Happy Sikhs celebrate holy day; Carloads of Sikhs; including many children waving bright yellow flags; joined in the downtown parade yesterday marking Baisakhi Day - the anniversary of the founding of the Sikh nation in 1669. About 100 Metro police officers lined the parade route but there was no violence among the 2;000 Sikhs who chanted in Punjabi; God is Truth. The parade wound up at Queen's Park.
