Original Toronto Star caption: Oshawa gets an extra-big ship. The largest ship to dock at Oshawa - the London Statesman; 531 feet long and of 10;679 gross tons - yesterday unloads 7;000 tons of raw sugar from Mauritius; an island in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Africa. The ship; of British registry; arrived in Oshawa Nov. 16 from Montreal; where it had unloaded 7;500 tons of sugar. It sails today for Detroit; to load steel; automobiles and tractors going to Brazil.
