Original Toronto Star caption: Stand well back! Spectors watch is awe as the M.V. Paterson is launched in Collingwood. Some downtown merchants took advantage of the large crowd in town - including many from U.S. Great Lakes states - by offering launch specials. Robert Woodcock of Weston; a Collingwood native who recently published his book Side Launch; sold dozens of copies.
