Original Toronto Star caption: Out of gas at the very beginning of the seven-hour parade of Shriners today; a member of the Al Koran clown unit gets a fill-up from a fellow Shriner while another; on roller skates; is ready to go. The parade may well be the largest ever seen in Canada and drew tens of thousands of spectators. Hundreds had lined up along the route before the sun rose to watch the 14;000 Shriners and various animals.
