William Dickson House

Lot 25, Con. 2 East. Steeles Ave & Bayview Ave. This land was part of a 200 acre grant from the Crown in 1799 to Elizabeth Macaulay. Willliam Dickson purchased 100 acres of this property (running east from Bayview to Leslie, one lot south of Steeles Avenue) from the Hon. James B. Macaulay on December 17, 1832 for the sum of $149 and 9 s. and on December 10, 1864 Lady R. C. Macaulay was paid $5 for her Release of Dower (her right to live on the property of her spouse) by Dickson. Demolished 1972.
