Lot 1, Con. 2 East. Markham Township. Bayview Ave & Steeles Ave. Fish Mill, North-east corner Steeles and Bayview in 1961. This grist and saw mill was built in 1830 by Benjamin Fish, next to the distillery that he owned (built 1828). Though the original mill was destroyed in a fire, Fish built a new one on the same site. The mill was later owned by Charles Parsons (1866), James Reith (1878), H. B. Schmidt (1883), W. H. Lever (1920), and finally Angus A. Macdonald (1938), who was an artist and turned the mill into a residence. Demolished in 1965, when the intersection of Bayview and Steeles was widened.
