Original Toronto Star caption: Streets were deserted and slushy snow made walking difficult near Church and Wood Sts. last evening at beginning of the storm that dropped 15 (6 inches) of snow on Metro. Temeratures went below freezing point; making streets; roads icy. This caused traffic jams on steep inclines on Yonge St.; Mt. Pleasant Rd.; Avenue Rd. and other streets. Heavy drifting is expected across southern Ontario today. More snow is forecast for Friday.
