Original Toronto Star caption: Its tough about the beer; brewery worker Ken St. Peter (left) explains to his wife and seven children; but though he is a brewery worker; he can rarely afford to drink a bottle. He says that nearly all married brewery workers have to go to the credit union when they need money to pay unexpected bills; or when they want a holiday or buy a car. Many fellow-employees have second jobs.
