Original Toronto Star caption: Miss Gay Park of Windsor is one of the 350 Ontario school teachers who have volunteered to work during their summer vacation at General Engineering Company, Scarboro war plant, so that regular war workers there will be able to have summer holidays. Miss Park was a teacher at Gordon McGregor school. Windsor. Published in Toronto Daily Star, 3 July 1943, page 34, with title ''Teachers to work so war workers can get holidays''.||The 364 acre Geco complex extended South from Eglinton Avenue East to present-day Hymus Road, between Warden Avenue and Birchmount Road, and consisted of 172 buildings.
