Original Toronto Star caption: That ram tanks are the best in the war is the opinion expressed by Gen. A. G. L. McNaughton. Like those shown here; already more than 1;000 have been turned out in Canada for the Canadian army. The Ram is but one type; another being the Valentine of which about $50;000;000 worth have benn sent to Russia. In one shipment the tanks; loaded ready-fuelled; were in action 40 minutes after arrival. About half the tanks manufactured in Canada's arsenals; one of which; the Ram; is the second largest in North America; have been sent to Russia; many others to Libya. Canadian plants also have made 40;000 vehicles for Eisenhower's forces.
