Original Toronto Star caption: Slithering and sliding; a car makes slow progress as it attempts to inch up the Bayview Ave. ramp off the Don Valley Parkway leading to Bloor St. during last night's fall of freezing rain and snow. The storm played havoc with rush hour traffic in Toronto between 5 and 7 pm.; but no serious accidents were reported. Traffic thinned out later in the evening as motorists chose to stay home rather than face the traffic hazards. On Highway 400; only one lane in each director was open at times and abandoned cars lined the edges of the Don Valley Parkway.
