Original Toronto Star caption: The Roof of five row houses on Bellwoods Ave. in Toronto's west end collapsed under the weight of ice and snow yesterday; tilting the second floors forward 6 to 10 feet and sending bricks; wood and glass into the front yards. No one was hurt; but about 20 people are homeless. One of them; Octavio Moniz; 22; had gone to old city hall to marry Maria Sousa; 21; when wedding was postponed; the couple went to Bellwoods and found roof of the 60-year-old house collapsed.
