Original Toronto Star caption: Wooden acrobats: These fine and detailed carved wooden acrobats standing on back of circus horses were made in the 1930s by William G. Loney; a blacksmith who was born in 1887 in South Bay; Prince Edward County. He died a recluse near Black Creek in 1956. Sotheby's auction features five primitive Loney pieces; both of the above being estimated at $800 to $1;200.
