Original Toronto Star caption: On a corpuscle kick; dozens of barefoot; long-haired Yorkville hippies troop into Moss Park Armoury after Barbara Kelly; Miss Canada 1967; invited them on a blood trip. Though the hippies were ready and willing; the Red Cross found many of them had blood as twitchy and undernourished as they were; with too low a corpuscle count. Even if they didn't qualify as donors-in fact especially if they didn't-the hippies got the regulation glass of orange juice.
