Original Toronto Star caption: This is the nightmare Inge Cant has been living for 18 months. Her 3-year-old son; Jonathan; and her former husband; Garry Cant; are still missing and it never gets easier for her to live without her son. It just gets harder. Cant has spent more than $7;000 on investigation fees; and has borrowed more than $20;000 from her family to cover her lawyers? bills. Working as a legal secretary in Mississauga; she makes about $20;000 a year. She has taken out bank loans and paid back bank loans during her 18-month obsessive search for her son. She has pleaded with politicians; and listened to the hopeful predictions of psychics. She has worn wigs and sunglasses to stalk campgrounds and trade shows in Florida and Indiana; where she had reason to suspect her husband and son might be. She has taken her story to newspapers and television stations and put ads in U.S. magazines that help find abducted children. She has even chased cars down lonely streets after catching a glimpse of drivers who look exactly like her husband.
