Original Toronto Star caption: Moment of comfort: Polish hunger striker Wladyslaw Sliwa smells a flower brought to him by 6-year-old Julia Pizetakewicz. Sliwa and two others have been fasting for 23 days outside the Polish consulate on Lake Shore Blvd. in a bid to get their families out of Poland. Sliwa said the young girl reminded him of his own 7-year-old daughter Katherine.
