Original Toronto Star caption: Asking questions about 446 houses; with down payments as low as $980; that will be sold by lottery; 5;000 persons visited the Home Ownership Made Easy information centre in Scarborough over the weekend. Other thousands mailed in applications for the houses. On Jan. 22; applications will be put into a drum and the winners will be able to buy the houses; which will be ready in June. There could be as many as 40;000 applications there were 10;000 in last year's lottery.
