Original Toronto Star caption: Century of memories: Alec MacMillan celebrated his 100th birthday yesterday at the Isabel and Arthur Meighen Lodge. He is the only surviving member of the Salvation Army band which disbanded after the sinking of the Empress of Ireland in 1914, although he was not with the band members on the ill-fated ship.
