Original Toronto Star caption: New life starting: Melvin and Myrtie Taylor of Downview, both 77, are closing their store, Mel Taylor Shoe Repair, at 762 St. Clair Ave. W., on Sept. 21. The couple have worked side by side for 50 years, and they're retiring to enjoy their hobbies and to do some travelling. Myrtle can do everything in the store except put soles on shoes and sharpen skates.
