Original Toronto Star caption: Homeless but happy, Maria Pede (left) had to flee from her Mississauga home Sunday but her husband, Bernadino, took his Wintario ticket along, and yesterday, Mrs. Pede and her daughters, Rosa Diloia and Antonietta Tartaglia, picked up a cheque for $100,000. Another lucky man yesterday was Mike Bietola of Windsor, who hit the Lottario jackpot for $1,276,093. The Pedes were among the Mississauga residents who were allowed to return home last night.
