Original Toronto Star caption: A lucky scar: Gled Gard, a 37-year-old Pickering man, shows where he received skin grafts after his gold signet ring irritated his finger. The ring contained enough radioactive material to cause potentially fatal bone cancer. The ring was a Christmas gift from his uncle 15 years ago.
