Original Toronto Star caption: Fifty young outpatients at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children are being denied a life-supporting drug because their parents can't afford to pay its $15 daily cost. The drug was cut off two weeks ago after the United States hospital providing it decided it could no longer afford to supply Canadian sufferers of thalassemia, a severe form of anemia. The children were being treated at Sick Children's under a U.S. study project run by the Children's Hospital Medical Centre in Boston. [Incomplete]
