Original Toronto Star caption: Home-made Preserves sold quickly to visitors from all over southern Ontario and farther away. New Hamburg's normal population of 3,000 swelled for the day to an estimated 25,000 and a sea of cars covered the infield of the track. Besides Mennonite delicacies made in farm kitchens, there were candy floss and hot dogs.
