Original Toronto Star caption: Police Patrol Lake Ontario: Formed two years ago to meet growing demand for shoreline and lake patrols because of the arena's increasing populations, Peel Regional Police Marine Unit patrols 10 miles of shoreline up to 14 miles out, as well as the Credit River up to the Queen Elizabeth Bridge. Constable Fred Blume (left), who heads the 12-man-unit, and Constable Lee Coyle inspect the 24-foot Peeler II, one of unit's three patrol boats.
