Original Toronto Star caption: On the trail: Durham Region police Constable Chuck Mercier tracked two suspects in an armed hold-up at an Oshawa gas bar through snow and a waist-deep creek before making an arrest. I was cold and exhausted, Mercier said. Each one of my legs felt like they weighed 50 pounds.
