Original Toronto Star caption: Army visitors: In Sunnybrook Hospital, patient John Collison is visited by Mrs. Major Joyce Creighton, right, and Ruby Cole of the Salvation Army. Although the Army is probably best known today for its social services, its evangelistic purpose is still considered as important as it was when the Army first came to Canada 100 years ago. It had been officially organized in England in 1878 by a Methodist, Rev. William Booth.
