Original Toronto Star caption: Crowd-pleaser: Ontario Lieutenant-Governor Lincoln Alexander, with wife Yvonne, gives a hearty wave to bystanders as he arrives at Queen's Park yesterday to read the Speech from the Throne. The speech, which reopened the Legislature after a nine-week break, was the first delivered by Alexander and the first from an Ontario Liberal government in 43 years.
