Gingerbread. Cover title. The stories ''Gingerbread'' and ''Cat and mouse'' appear in Rogers' A bushel of merry- thoughts published in 1868 by Sampson Low. The title ''Sugar-bread'' is used instead of ''Gingerbread''. The same illustrations by Wilhelm Busch, with a tail-piece by W.H. Rogers, are printed in colour. Undated. Date from inscription on second leaf dated Jan. 1875.
