Original Toronto Star caption: Goalie holds the fort: Leafs' Jacques Plante makes brilliant save off stick of Bruins' Fred Stanfield during opening game of Stanley Cup quarter-final in Boston last night. Watching puck roll across crease is Toronto defenceman Rick Ley (2). Plante foiled Bruins time and again throughout first half of game before Phil Esposito connected at 17:24 mark of second period. Bruins went on to win; 5-0.
