Original Toronto Star caption: The horse. With Approval; the gutsy roan colt; might well be dubbed the Cardiac Kid because his victories come by the merest of margins. He won the Queen's Plate by a short nose to go along with recent wins in the Plate Trial and Marine Stakes by a head each time. That's three major victories by a total of some 18 inches. Buckpasser; his maternal grandsire; won 17 races -- none of them by more than 1 1/4 lengths. Tight finishes obviously run in the family!
