Original Toronto Star caption: Crowding in Olympic Village: Ian Clyde of Montreal; a member of the Canadian boxing team; hangs washing on apartment balcony at one of the four 18-floor pyramids at Olympic Village. They are to house about 12;000 athletes and officials. After the Games. they'll be 980 apartments designed for 3;500 permanent residents. Original estimated construction costs were $30 million; now closer to $90 million. With 12 people in apartment; Ian must hang clothes outside.
