Original Toronto Star caption: Proud winner of thornliffe feature. There was something unique about the ceremony yesterday at Thorncliffe when Mrs. Albert (Whitey) Abel was presented with the British Consols.' Plate; shop above; won by Marmion and running in her name and trained and ridden by her husband. Whitey Abel is the only successful owner-joc trainer in the business to-day; according to all the experts. Abel won the feature offering but also piloted Just Fun; another shown colorbearers; to victory in the next race. [Incomplete]
