Original Toronto Star caption: Pulling for Argos: Xavier Macia; 18-year-old sculler with Argonaut Rowing Club is thinking of gold medal which may lie at end of lonely training sessions on Lake Ontario. He's taking part in development regatta in St. Catharines tomorrow; but real goal is world youth championships in Montreal Aug 6-10. He began training last October in running and weights and averaging 10 miles a day on water.
