Original Toronto Star caption: Off and flying in Toronto Harbor. Sailing is booming in Metro, with the number of yachts increasing each year almost as fast as the graceful craft skim over the water. Today about 150 race on a nine-mile triangular course southwest of the Islands and past Exhibition Park and Ontario Place in the Queen City Yacht Club regatta. Among contestants are the 26-foot Flying Cloud III, a Thunderbird class built by the skipper, Con Lister, and the 30-foot Gay Gordon, an Alberg Thirty class owned by Gordon Proctor; who flies cross of St. Andrew on spinnaker.
