Original Toronto Star caption: More than 130 skateboarders turned out on weekend when they heard financially troubled Scarborough Superbowl had reopened. Doors were locked shut two weeks ago at skateboard park at Lawrence and Midland Aves., but management said there was a better chance of finding a new tenant if it was operating. Officials said there had been poor turnouts at weekly house league competitions because competitors wouldn't enter if the prize was not good enough. Scarborough Superbowl, formerly located on Midland Avenue, west side, at Lawrence Avenue East. (43.751516, -79.265320)
