Original Toronto Star caption: Robbie proves a big success; More than 8;000 soccer players; ranging from 8 to 21 years old; took part this weekend in the annual Robbie Soccer Tournament held at parks throughout the Metro area. Some of the participating teams came from other countries; such as the United States; Scotland; England and Ireland as well as other Canadian provinces. The photos on this page are from the peewee girl?s final in which the Annandale; Va. team defeated their cross-state rivals from Vienna; Va. 3-2. The Robbie concludes today with most of boys championship games. All matches are set for Birchmount Stadium.
