Original Toronto Star caption: Former World Professional Champion Enters C.N.E. Swim. David Billington; former world's professional champion and English amateur champion; now training for C.N.E. - Wrigley marathon; won his first English title in 1902 when fourteen years of age. He won the mile five-mile and 1;000 yards N.C.A.S.A titles for seven successive years; and then turned pro. He is the holder of 500 and 1;500 metre professional records and won the 8 1/2 mile Traversee de Paris race; for ten years straight also six hours' championship Paris.
