CFCA; The Star's radio station; will have a special feature at 8.30 Wednesday evening; when Umberto (Bert) Rovere; a contestant in the Canadian National Exhibition swim; will give a vocal recital. Mr Rovere finished third in the Catalina swim; which George Young won. Rovere time was 15 hours and 24 minutes. He is proprietor of Paris Inn; a popular Los Angeles restaurant. He frequently sings for his own patrons. He is a celebrated Italian baritone; and for several seasons was leading baritone was the San Carlos Opera Company. He also has sung in 'Faust' at the famous Hollywood Bowl. Rovere was born in Torim; Italy; 34; years ago. He came over to the United States Rovere; taken by a Star photographer at Centre Island; illustrate his two activities as singer and swimmer.
