Original Toronto Star caption: Beatlemania hits Toronto: They say the Beatles are only a passing fad but you'd never guess it from their fans-an estimated 4,000 strong - who braved an on-and-off drizzle outside Maple Leaf Gardens today when tickets for their Toronto apperance went on sale. Quite a tribute to the British singing group as it does not play here until Labor day. The mophaired youths have sprung from the relative obscurity of Liverpool clubs to world-wide popularity among screaming teenagers-mostly girls.
