Original Toronto Star caption: Mini-dressed Russian girls were among the highlights of the Red Army Chorus performance last night at Maple Leaf Gardens. An audience of about 7;500 Torontonians stood and cheered Boris Alexandrov and his 180 singers; dancers and musicians inside Gardens - while outside; a group of picketers walked back and forth; carrying a coffin and protesting the cultural suppression of Jews in the Soviet Union. But inside; the sound was loud and very unrepressed.
