A thousand people sat on stairs; floor; guard railings and chairs to hear Toronto Symphony play at Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke last night in free concert conducted by Victor Feldbrill. Orchestra will visit China in January; 1978; to perform under conductor Andrew Davis as part of a cultural exchange program. For its part in the program; China will send the Shanghai Dance Troupe to tour Canada during 1977-78 season. It will mark the troupe's first appearance in the West.
