Original Toronto Star caption: Peaceful scenes on Toronto Islands lure recreational artists by the score these summer days. Elizabeth Walter; 50; chooses the boat-filled lagoon on Ward's Island as teh subject for a painting. On the Islands you see pictures all over the place; says Mrs. Walter; a former photographer who always wanted to paint. She's one of a group that meets there every Thursday to pursue their art and who jokingly call themselves the Group of Eight. They met through a course at the Ontario College of Art.
