Original Toronto Star caption: Toronto's newest 'island' a sculpture. Toronto sculptor Brian Smith (top; rear) has created a 20-foot-sided triangular island from 3;000 pounds of plastic foam on a wooden frame in a sand mould at Cherry Beach. It will be floated to Harbourfront Art Gallery to commemorate 10th annual International Sculpture Symposium that starts next week. David Smith (top; left) sprays foam on to frame. It was flipped over today and set afloat. Dave Boulter (in waders) hands sculptor a bottle of wine to toast event as pet Trojan joins its master. Three palm trees are to be flown in from Florida tomorrow too and planted on the island to finish off the project.
