Original Toronto Star caption: Canadian paintings inspired by Leningrad; going on exhibit. A group of inspirational paintings; the work of Canadian artists inspired by the gallant defence of Leningrad; will go on exhibition Monday for one week in the Fine Arts Gallery at Eaton's College St. store. The paintings will be presented to Hon. Feodor Gousev; Soviet minister to Canada; at the opening of the exhibit; and later will be forwarded through the Russian embassy to Leningrad for exhibition there. Harry Coldoff; director of the project; is shown checking a few of the paintings selected by judges for the exhibition from among many contributed.
