Original Toronto Star caption: Stepping out on the next 35 years. The National Ballet of Canada last night celebrated its 35th anniversary with a spectacular gala at the O'Keele Centre. Highlight of the evening was a presentation to Ceila Franca; founder and for 24 years the artistic director of the company. Telegrams of congratulations poured in from around the globe and guest Rudolf Nureyev was a major attraction.
