Original Toronto Star caption: Convinced separatist Madeleine Longpre of Montreal says Quebeckers have waited too long for independence to change their minds now. She was among 28 percent of respondents to survey commissioned by The Toronto Star to describe themselves as extreme separatist-but the bulk of people in this group favor separation only if there is some form of economic union with Canada. Most of them would be among the have-not class. Mrs. Longpre's husband earns between $6;000 and $8;000.
