Original Toronto Star caption: Workmen are busy landscaping the grounds in front of historic Montgomery's Inn which has stood high on a hill on Dundas Street West at Islington Avenue for 142 years. The inn was once nearly moved to make room for a high-rise apartment tower similar to one seen in background at right. Developer Louis Mayzel, however, ended up helping to save the inn and its site. Inn will be officially opened on March 1, 1975.
