Original Toronto Star caption: Summer haunts scene of to-days's near tragedy; This picture taken by a Star photographer from a specially chartered ski-equipped aeroplane; shows the shore; off which the fishermen were working when a mile-long ice pan broke away from the mainland making a prison of ice and snow from they were rescued this afternoon after many hours exposure to done of the worst blizzards of the year. The buildings in the foreground include the homes of some fishermen and cottages of summer residents.
